Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles.
It empties today of its strength.

Some days don’t quite go to plan. Normally I waste time worrying about it but not today! Today I’m just going with the flow.
A chaotic start to the day meant that I was out and about just in time to see this little one.
For those who don’t know, that there is a wombat! First one we have seen around here. Hmm, I’m not sure if I’m happy about it as they are notorious for digging huge holes and destroying vegetable gardens.
In other news, all outdoor gardening activities are off for the day.
We actually don’t get snow here, occasionally there is a little sprinkling but I’ve never seen anything like this before. I guess it’s one way to let your worries wash away!
I hope you can keep the worries out of your day and go with the flow just as I am! Happy Weekend.

Oh wow you did get snow!! I think it was too wet & cold in Gungahlin today, gosh it was blowing a gale & our poor chickens were standing there in shock (they have shelter & an open coop to cosy down in, but the ducks were going bonkers with glee, the chickens thought they were lunatics!! The rain drops smacking my face were like ice cubes.
I’m still recovering from a day at the AIS while my primary schoolers ran the North Canberra regional athletics, that was 4 seasons every hour!! Like perfect choreography, the mothers all removed their jackets & blankets (those of us who know take blankets) then the sun was gone again & blustery dark clouds with wind. Mercifully it didn’t rain until well after the last race & i had a little sleep on the lounge, bliss.
There were lots of teens there too as the private schools had a moderation day. They looked thrilled, not!! Love Posie
Ha Ha, we’ve got basketball tonight. Sounds ok ’cause it’s inside but…concrete floors + unheated tin shed = freezing. I’m putting the thermals on now and have packed the blanket. xxx Alison
Oh maybe the wombat is a snow detector?? Watch out, they do dig & unfortunately i see WAY too many on the road side, a bit flatter than normal. I haven’t seen a wild one for years, but there was a gorgeous huge one at Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Love Posie
Haven’t seen a speck of snow this winter down here in Tassie. Would be fun to have a little. The photo scavenger hunt is beginning 1st Sept. Have you seen my blog for instructions? By the way, that’s one big wombat there.
Hi Deb, yep saw it and took it in (almost). I’ll do a post this week to see if we can get another couple of people along. I really like the subjects you have chosen, they’ve got me thinking already. Alison PS we had a meal at the old silo on the banks of the river (forgot its name). The location was stunning – food was ok.
Ah well, it all looks very pretty! Glad you were able to go with the flow!
Still green with envy Celia. I can’t wait for the days to be taken up with tending veggies, Alison xxx
I am so jealous. I was at work when people were getting text messages and photos about the snow in Canberra. There is snow on the mountaintops this morning, which is exciting. I was hoping tomorrow (when we are free) to go up the hill side to find a patch of snow for the kids to play in…. but the sun just came out, so it might all be gone by tomorrow! It’s so exciting for someone who came from the NSW North coast all her life! If we have to have this cold, cold weather, I don’t see why we can’t have some sprinkling of snow once in a while!!
Gorgeous photos, love the dogs esp.!
Hi Dixiebelle, I was so lucky to be here to see it! I was actually working on another post (in between all the other jobs) and just had to deviate and take photos and get wet. The dogs absolutely loved it…Alison xxx
